Join in an exciting fishing trip to the frozen see and experience the exotic nature of Hailuoto Island. When it’s possible we take the ice road to cross the sea to Hailuoto. The guide tells you about the traditional net fishing and if we are lucky to get a catch, we can even cook it on open fire! Anyway you´ll have hot coffee and a snack by the fire and we stop for lunch in local restaurant on the way back to town.

Have an active outdoor day in beautiful scenery with unique experiences. The excursion starts by wearing a warm and comfortable safari outfit and a transfer to the destination. You´ll get familiar with a husky farm of 40 eagar siberian huskys. You´ll take about 1,5 hours long dog sledge safari and after that a cup of coffee, of course. The safari is driven 2 persons per a husky team, so you can either drive your own team or sit in the sledge on a warm reindeer skin.
We will return to Oulu in the afternoon.

Take a break from the rush and noice of the city. Come and join us on a hiking trip to a beautiful and peaceful island of Hailuoto. This whole day excursion takes you by car to Ranua Wildlife Park, the northenmost zoo in the world. In the zoo you´ll take a refreshing walk outside to see arctic animals in their natural surroundings.
The zoo´s animals consist of approximately 50 wild animal species and 200 individuals, including top predators such as lynx, bears and wolves but also european moose and deers. The zoo has Finland´s only polar bears.
After the tour we´ll enjoy lunch in a cosy restaurant Jussan pirtti. You´ll have also a possibility to visit Fazer candy shop.

Already the ancient Finns discovered the power of frozen sea; while ice fishing they would melt the ice for drinking. With the spirit from under the ice they could resist frost better and survive the long walk back to shore and home.
Now you have the chance to walk in their footsteps and experience the toughness of the Bothnic Sea. We will provide clothing suitable for the weather and a snowmobile will take you to the icy sea. There you can drill a hole through the ice and keep the crushed ice that contains the Bothnic Sea spirit. With its power you can find your way back to the shore where you can mix the crushed ice into a drink of your choice.
Now you have a unique chance to experience the magic of the frozen sea!
